About Me

I’ve been navigating the world for 45 years and have spent most of those years living a full, messy, beautiful (sometimes chaotic) life, working, travelling, laughing until my stomach hurt, crying when it all felt too much, and learning what it means to be human through lived experiences of both trauma and joy.

I’m endlessly grateful to have birthed two awesome humans of my own, who are now navigating the minefield of teenagerdom. This means our house is filled with equal parts laughter, sarcasm, and emotional meltdowns. They’ve taught me patience, perspective, humility, and how to find calm in the noise (well… mostly).

My path has twisted through different worlds, corporate, creative, and practical all of which have given me a deeper understanding of the many masks we wear, the conditioning we carry, and the expectations we hold.

My journey to becoming a therapist began with my own experience of counselling. Through that process, I came to recognise, understand, and begin to accept the grief and trauma in my own life. It helped me realise just how powerful it is to simply feel seen, not fixed, not told what to do, but truly seen.

It was a profound and sometimes painful experience, but it changed me in ways I never thought possible. Having a safe space to be heard without judgement was life-changing, and it inspired me to train as a therapist so I could offer that same space to others.

Fifteen years later, this remains the foundation of how I work. I’m deeply passionate about supporting people to find greater self-understanding, acceptance, and freedom in their own lives.

Therapy, to me, is about finding your headspace and coming home to yourself, at your pace, in your way, with someone beside you who genuinely cares.

My Approach

My approach is person-centred at heart, gentle, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that you have the capacity to grow and heal.

Therapy is never “one size fits all”, so alongside this, I integrate elements of CBT to help you understand patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools that support everyday life.

Therapy can be short-term or longer-term. Sometimes it helps for a reason, sometimes for a season, and sometimes for a lifetime. However you choose to use it, my aim is always the same: to help you connect with the best version of yourself and move forward with greater clarity, acceptance, and hope.

Together, we take things at your pace. Some sessions may feel reflective and emotional; others more structured, with tools, perspectives, or gentle challenges. However you arrive, we begin there.

I don’t pretend to be the expert on your life, because that’s you.

Counselling with me offers a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can feel truly heard and supported. My role is not to tell you what you should do, but to walk alongside you with empathy and understanding, enabling you to explore the thoughts, feelings, and stories that shape how you move through the world.

Therapy is most powerful when you feel safe enough to be honest. I work in a way that is compassionate, transparent, and grounded. You won’t be rushed, analysed from a distance, or told who to be.

Instead, I offer:

  • A calm, confidential space to talk
  • A therapist who listens deeply and without judgement
  • A flexible blend of empathy and practical guidance
  • Support that adapts to you, not the other way around

I will create a safe space for you to look at things differently, to understand yourself with greater compassion, and to gently challenge the patterns that no longer serve you.

In doing so, you can discover new ways of coping and relating, reconnect with your own strength, and move towards a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

If this feels like the right fit for you, I'd love to hear from you.
